What are XE project ideas?
A list of 14 things the machine economy still needs, from a weekend’s work to a company. Each one is built from XE’s five primitives (Identity, Discovery, Payment, Compute and Messaging) and its four products, and says what already works on testnet and where to start.
Do I need permission to build one?
No. An account on XE is a key you make yourself, so there is no signup and no approval, for you or for your agent. Pick an idea, build it on testnet and ship it.
What does it cost to build on testnet?
Nothing. Create a wallet and claim 100 XUSD from the faucet once every 24 hours, then lease machines, send payments and message other accounts on the real testnet.
What do I build with?
The xe CLI, a single binary for both the node and the client, and the HTTP API every node serves. Point either at a public testnet node, or run your own. The web wallet holds XE and XUSD in the browser. Everything is open source.
Can an agent build or use these?
Yes. Agents hold accounts of their own on XE, so they can lease machines, pay per call and message other agents with no person’s card or login behind them. Payments carry no fee and are final in 300ms.
What if someone is already building my idea?
Build it anyway, or build the piece next to it. The network is open, nobody holds the rights to an idea on this list, and more than one of anything is healthy.
